The Garden is an arrangement of sculptural objects in two different spaces in Vancouver - it was an integral component of the Vancouver Art Book Fair and featured publications from both local and international artists. It was produced in Collaboration with Monkier Press - a local, Independently run art book publisher. The first arrangement of The Garden was housed at Untitled Art Space during an art auction fundraiser for the organization Project Space on September 26th 2015. The second iteration was created and displayed at the VA/BF for the weekend of the 17th-18th of October 2015 [featured].
As you weave among columns and cut down obelisks, blocks of light stretch across the floor and up into the marbled ceilings. Particles of dust whipped up in the atmosphere land among grey forms and long blocks of vibrant colour. Old green rugs and broken stones. The withered remains of a french estate. Literature is strewn about like confetti. You sit to read next to an old toppled fountain. What an odd Garden.
